Sennheiser is pleased to announce the next generation of the MobileConnect system! MobileConnect is the optimal solution for campus-wide assistive listening that is adapted to the needs of the higher education market. The basic concept around MobileConnect is the ability to use an existing network for the distribution of the audio stream and a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) approach for the user’s receiver hardware.
Great product for high education and college/universities with large lecture halls. Provides easy to use personal assistant listening to those in the classroom. Not to mention, because you use your own personal device to access the system, it is less discrete. An interesting observation was more people use Mobile Connect vs. assistive listening in rooms because with other systems you have to ask for a receiver, a lot of kids don’t ask about it afraid of being singled out. With Mobile Connect using their own device and ear buds, a lot of students utilize the function of it who otherwise might not have asked for assistive listening before.
